Janine Gregoir from Belgium, was born and raised in Antwerp where she lived most of her life. After the birth of her four children, Janine fulfilled her lifelong desire to paint and attended classes in oil painting with the well known artist Jack Godderis and J. Van Steenweghe both teaching at the art school "Vrij Atelier" in Antwerp.
Originally an accountant, Janine spent some thirty years teaching the art of antique furniture restoration and has previously exhibited oil paintings on three occasions. Later on in the nineties, she discovered her passion for water colours.
She moved to Greyton, Western Cape in 2007 and attended art classes with Gail Polwarth where she participated in a group exhibition. She enjoys creating an atmosphere in her work and loves warm colours. This is her first solo exhibiton of watercolours showing here wide repertoire, here at the Greyton Lodge.
